The Productive Founder is an independent, reader-supported publication about time management, project organization, and the software that either respects your time or quietly eats it. This page explains how we work, how we make money, and what you can expect from everything we publish.
How we choose what to cover
Every topic starts with a real problem founders and solopreneurs run into: too many meetings, scattered projects, tools that promise focus and deliver notifications. We research what people actually search for, then we write the guide we wish had existed when we hit the same wall. If a topic does not help you reclaim time or run a calmer business, it does not make the cut.
How we test and research
Software reviews and comparisons are based on hands-on use whenever possible. We sign up, we build real workflows, and we note where a tool shines and where it gets in the way. When hands-on testing is not possible, we say so clearly and rely on documented features, verified user feedback, and pricing checked at the time of writing. Prices and features change often, so we date our reviews and revisit them regularly.
How we make money
This site is reader-supported. Some articles contain affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. We also display advertising. Neither advertisers nor affiliate partners influence our rankings, our opinions, or the topics we cover. A tool pays nothing to be recommended here, and we would rather lose a commission than recommend something that wastes your time.
Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes, and we would rather fix a mistake than pretend it never happened. If you spot an error, outdated pricing, or a claim that no longer holds, tell us. We correct factual errors promptly and note significant updates at the top of the article.
